Biography of Alan Jimenez, Attorney

The Jimenez Family has lived in Colorado for four generations and his family includes original settlers of New Mexico near Santa Fe and Taos. Both his great great grand father and great grand father "Shorty Martinez" were Sheriffs in southern Colorado counties with distinguished careers protecting people. Alan Jimenez was born on September 28,1962 and has always fought for – everyday Americans who deserve justice. Whether in the courtroom or in everyday life, Alan has been guided by the small-town values his parents taught him when he was young – hard work, education, doing the right thing, and persistence. And those same values guide him in his personal injury practice today.

Alan Jimenez was raised in Denver, Colorado by his two hard-working and devoted parents, John and Celeste. The son of an Engineer and a public school employee, he was exposed to small business early when his parents owned a restaurant. After graduating from Lincoln High School in Denver and with the support of his family he worked his way through the University of Denver and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Science and Business Administration in 1984 and later earned a law degree from the University of Denver Collage of Law in 1987. While working as a law clerk for a small personal injury law firm in Denver and working as a law clerk for a Denver District Court Judge he began to notice a familiar pattern: many people, due to social or economic status, had problems getting justice and he wanted to help. He was admitted to practice in Colorado and U.S. District Courts, District of Colorado in 1988.

After graduating from law school, Alan established his own private practice representing injured victims in the area of personal injury law and set out on a path to fight for families who needed help. Day in and day out, he stands up for victims’ rights against the insurance industry and defeats their armies of lawyers. He gives families hope when their claims seem impossible and helps them overcome battles greater than they have ever known. His passion and dedication to the people he represents give him great pride. After only two years in practice with the help of his family he purchased renovated and still owns the Jimenez Law Building which stands centrally near downtown Denver. Clients from all around the Denver Metro area find his office easy to get to and his door always open. One way he believes he can educate the public is through advertising his firm, since it is clear that the insurance industry has no interest in informing the public about their rights.

He is currently a member of many professional organizations, including the American Bar Association; Denver Bar Association; Colorado Bar Association; Colorado Trial Lawyers Association; The Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association.

He is active in the community and volunteers or supports the following: St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, North Jefferson Junior Baseball as coach, North Jeffco Basketball as coach, Swimming and golf coach to his sons, Colorado Democratic Candidate volunteer, Fundraising volunteer for the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. He has spoke at various fundraisers including the Ski Fiesta Hispanic Scholarship events. He has taught Attorneys on topics of Auto Accident Arbitration/Mediation for Continuing Legal Education. Alan has been an arbitration/mediation judge and judged student advocates at the University of Denver Collage of Law.

Alan lives with his wife Anna and their two sons in Arvada, Colorado.
